Fear the water Heater!

If You look Closely at this water heater thermostat you will be able to tell that it is set to 160 degrees f.  Any comments ?  This was found on a site that was run by what was supposed to be a fairly competent maintenance Supervisor.  …..I’ve found other things like this that … just … scream …. STUPID! This water heater was functional.  Does anyone know the degradation temperature for CPVC pipes that are 10+ years of age?  around 165 degrees f.  Disaster waiting to happen here boys and girls.

Brady Bunch Moment

This doesnt really fit here, But i guess it is one of those don’t do this things.  You see, I wasnt paying attention, and my 9-year old son thought it would be a great idea to have a bubble bath.  Sure, under normal circumstances.  However, we have a jacuzzi tub, and he has ADHD.  Put those together and you have this…  If you look closely, you can see that on the other side of the door its about four feet tall.

Found this in a sodium fixture while I was changing bulbs awhile back. Even worse, there was a metal halide ballast piggybacked on the original sodium ballast. Judging by how this bulb looks, the whole mess worked even briefly. Wish I had more photos of this thing, but alas, I dont.
